Detecting mech. Mech detected.

A Reddit user going by the name of Eliwats17 may have just shared the first ever look at the key art for Armored Core 6. If real, and we're assuming it is for the time being, this is our first look at the upcoming FromSoftware sequel since its announcement trailer during The Game Awards 2022.

The image was obtained by the Reddit user using what they call "the Xbox pre-install trick." Whatever this "trick" actually is, it allowed the user to get a look at the Armored Core 6 key art. This is the piece of artwork that shows up briefly as a splash screen when you boot-up a game.

Sadly, this is just an off-screen capture. The user says that while they tried to use the Xbox's built-in screenshot function, it did not work for this. I do not know the workings of the latest Xbox platforms, but not being able to use the screenshot on a splash screen does not sound all that abnormal. Thankfully, a cleaner version of the key art was shared on Twitter by Wario64.

Armored Core 6 or Armored Core 6 - Fires of Rubicon as it's known in some circles, is slated for release in 2023. Unless things have changed, this will be a multi-gen release for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
