Bandai Namco credits FromSoftware's previous title with helping Armored Core 6.

The latest mech combat title from FromSoftware came out this week. It's none other than Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, and it is the first new mainline Armored Core release since 2012's Armored Core 5.

This isn't a new Souls-like in disguise. The Armored Core games are very much their own thing, so don't think that just because you enjoy their Souls titles or Elden Ring that you will necessarily like Armored Core 6.

The Steam listing for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon was updated with the PC system requirements for the game. The upcoming mech combat title by FromSoftware shows that it won't require the latest and greatest hardware to seemingly run well.

To put it bluntly, FromSoftware's releases on PC have been severely lacking when stacked up against the competition. First, there was Dark Souls which essentially needed the user-created DSfix that addressed the lacking internal resolution and other graphical issues. More recently there was Elden Ring where, although it's a fantastic game, it was capped to 60FPS and still to this day features severe hitching.
