  • Free DLC Haunts Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Today

    A new map, ghost, and more.
    A chubby, blue translucent ghost with four arms flying through the air. Its mouth is open revealing some teeth and drool.

    Those of you that already own Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will be happy to see that a new update is available. This update includes the "first of many" free DLC packages for the game.

    This new content includes The Facility, a condemned property that was recently purchased by a private investor group that plans to renovate and reopen the facility. It just so happens that this place is haunted. Also new is Glutton, a new Ghost type that comes with two additional variants, including the Muncher.

    Also new today are new character customization options, gear like the Belt Gizmo and Disruptor Pylon, and some general improvements to bots and multiplayer matchmaking.

        A ton of fun with friends.

        Off and on for about two weeks now, I and some friends have been hopping into Ghostbusters: Spirits Within, the latest asymmetrical 4v1 multiplayer game from IllFonic. Though I would have liked to have gotten this review up a good week ago now, life had other plans. I suppose that just means I’m extra confident in my assessment of the game after spending even more time playing it.

        A new reason to return to (or simply keep on playing) Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will arrive on April 20th. IllFonic is readying the release of some free, new DLC on this date that will arrive at 11AM (PT). This is the second free DLC release for the game, following a release back in January with additional content.

        New on the 20th will be the Courthouse map, the Possessor ghost, new cosmetics, new abilities, and various quality-of-life...

        IllFonic, the studio behind the asymmetrical multiplayer games of Friday the 13th: The Game and Predator: Hunting Grounds, just released Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed today. While the game can be played as a 4v1 experience, you can also play solo or with any combination of players totaling up to five.
