Electronic Arts is sweetening the deal when it comes to those interested in purchasing the upcoming Dead Space remake. Those who pre-purchase the Dead Space remake on PC through Steam, will get a free copy of Dead Space 2.

Dead Space is slated to be released on January 27 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, though it seems as though only PC users will get this freebie. The Dead Space remake aims to do a complete visual overhaul to the classic 2009 title. In addition, the developers at EA Motive are expanding upon the original by adding some new areas, adjusting a few other areas, adding in new, optional side missions, and offering players a seamless experience that allows for backtracking to previous areas of the ship USS Ishimura space ship.

Giving Dead Space 2 away as a free bonus is nice, at least for those who don't yet own the game on PC. The sequel to the original is at least just as good as the original and still holds up really well even now. It is a bit odd though that the free copy of Dead Space 2 isn't being offered through EA's own EA App, at least not yet. Those with EA Play already have access to all of the original Dead Space titles on PC. EA Play Pro subscribers will get access to the Dead Space remake at release at no extra cost.

The remake of Dead Space can be pre-ordered on Steam for $59.99 (USD) or $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition. The base versions on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S start at $69.99.
