It's an early Christmas gift from CD Projekt Red to you.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

CD Projekt Red says that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition will be released on December 14, 2022. This is the next-gen update for The Witcher 3 that will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The studio says that this release and update will "feature dozens of visual, performance, and technical enhancements over the original." Included in these improvements will be ray tracing, faster load times for the consoles, plus there will be "a variety of mods integrated into the experience." There will also be some new content inspired by The Witcher series from Netflix. Those Netflix show inspired items will be covered next week in a dedicated REDstreams event on Twitch. They will also show off gameplay from this next-gen version at the same time.

The next-gen release will be available for purchase digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This release will include all of the previously released free DLCs to date, along with the two major expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. There will be a free next-gen update available to anybody that owns any release of the game from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A physical release of the Complete Edition will also happen at a later date.

If you are on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Switch versions of the game, you will also get an update that features "numerous additions and improvements, as well as the Netflix Witcher-themed additional content." More details on all of this will be announced soon.
