The tech and hardware focused YouTube channel, Gamers Nexus, broke the news today that EVGA will no longer produce Nvidia graphics cards. This includes the upcoming, and very soon to be released, RTX 40-series generation.

EVGA has been one of the largest, if not the largest third-party board partner if you were looking to purchase an Nvidia based GPU. The quality of their products were often considered to be the best of all partners, though not infallible, and their warranty support was unmatched.

Gamers Nexus says that EVGA will not produce any 40-series GPUs for Nvidia. One of the main reasons cited being the "disrespectful treatment" towards EVGA from Nvidia. Gamers Nexus says that they have heard from multiple third-party manufacturers that say they are almost always left in the dark about a new product until Nvidia makes a public announcement. These announcements usually happen mere weeks ahead of a new product's launch.

Gamers Nexus shares word from EVGA CEO Andrew Han that employees will be "taken care of" despite this massive reduction in business. It must also be noted here that EVGA does not have any plan to switch to producing third-party GPUs for either AMD or Intel. As it stands, EVGA is now entirely out of the business of producing graphics cards.

So far, the only public statement from EVGA is this brief message shared on the official EVGA forums by EVGA product manager Jacob.

  • EVGA will not carry the next generation graphics cards.
  • EVGA will continue to support the existing current generation products.
  • EVGA will continue to provide the current generation products.

EVGA is committed to our customers and will continue to offer sales and support on the current lineup. Also, EVGA would like to say thank you to our great community for the many years of support and enthusiasm for EVGA graphics cards.

There are still several questions remaining unanswered here. If a longer public statement is issued, we will be sure to add it here.

Update Sept. 16 at 8PM (ET): An Nvidia representative issued a brief statement about EVGA's decision.

"We've had a great partnership with EVGA over the years and will continue to support them on our current generation of products. We wish Andrew [Han] and our friends at EVGA all the best."
