Another showcase means it's time for a new dose of NewsBits.
Ubisoft Forward NewsBits

What's that smell? It's kind of musky with a hint of gamer sweat. That's right, it's a NewsBits. Today's latest NewsBits is all about that Ubisoft Forward stream that took place over the past weekend. Ubisoft showed off a bunch of games that are either getting fresh content or are entirely new.

We already offered up a look at all of the Assassin's Creed stuff that Ubisoft is working on, so let's now take a look at the rest of the games that are very much not Assassin's Creed. We've got some Mario, Rabbids, dancing, skulls, extreme sports, the Division (not the arithmatic one), and more.

Ubisoft+ Free Trial

Let's start things off here with a nice freebie! Ubisoft is offering everyone a free trial of their subscription service, Ubisoft+, for free for a limited time. You have from now through October 10 to get your free time added to your account.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

A fresh look at the XCOM-like strategy game but with Mario and Rabbids was shown off. Players can select from a variety of characters, each with their own stats and abilities, in order to tackle the problem in front of them. Sparks of Hope is out October 20 for the Nintendo Switch. Also, Rayman was teased for the game.

Skull and Bones

We were given yet another look at Ubisoft's upcoming pirate sim. You have your ship battles, your looting, your murder, and the like. Skull and Bones will feature crossplay support. You can also turn off PvP if you want to be a ... a nice pirate?

Become a friendly pirate when this one launches on November 8 for PC and next-gen consoles.

Just Dance

Who needs drugs when you have this weird trailer for Just Dance 2023 Edition. Look for this one to hit the Switch on November 23.

Rocksmith+

This is a subscription service that will help you learn to play guitar. It provides access to over 5,000 songs and will teach you how to play on either electric, acoustic, or bass guitars. This subscription is $15 per month.

Riders' Republic

Season 4, "Freestylin'," was shown off. Out on September 14, this update lets you grind on rails, trick over parked cars, and pull off other BMX-related moves. This update is out on September 14.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2

Ubisoft says at least two more updates are coming this year for the open-world shooter. Season 10 will add in quality of life updates and a new difficulty for the Countdown mode. Season 11 will continue the main story. Year 5 content was also confirmed to be in development.

Tom Clancy's The Division Heartland

More of this upcoming free-to-play "survival action shooter" set in The Division universe was shown off. This takes place in some unspecified town in middle America. Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon vets from Red Storm Entertainment are working on this one. Register now to try out early playtests.

Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence

It's The Division but on mobile platforms. It will have an original plot with familiar gameplay. A closed beta is coming later this year where you can test out the PvP part, which will once again take place in the griefer's paradise known as the Dark Zone.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile

Take the gameplay from Rainbow Six Siege and put it on mobile devices. The reveal trailer shows off three maps familiar to those who have played Siege. A closed beta launches on September 12.

Trackmania

The arcade style racing game with crazy tracks is coming to consoles and streaming platforms in early 2023. There's cross-play support for all platforms. It will be free-to-play and won't have microtransactions, but will have two optional premium tiers you can purchase. Seasonal updates will drop ever three months.

Netflix

Netflix will get three exclusive Ubisoft titles added to its game streaming service. The games include Valiant Hearts 2, Mighty Quest, and a new Assassin's Creed game. These games are supposedly ad-free and won't have in-app purchases.

Season 3 of Mythic Quest

The third season for the AppleTV show Mythic Quest was announced and shown off. I am being told this trailer shows a 100% accurate representation of what it's like to work in games development.

The Crew 2

Season 6 Episode 2: Dominion Frozen was shown for The Crew 2. This update, out September 14 as a free update, adds new cars, events, and ice track racing.

Anno 1800 DLC 12

The 12th DLC release for Anno 1800 will add "a new population level never seen before in the New World." Look for this content to drop this winter.

For Honor - Year 6 Season 3 Launch

This here is a launch trailer for the latest season of content for For Honor. I think this is out now.

Brawlhalla Getting Castlevania Characters

Last, and maybe least(?), it was revealed that Simon Belmont and Alucard from Castlevania are being added to the fighting game on October 19.
