The devs of this upcoming VR sequel share some details on the various frames.
Developer Digital Lode just released a new developer diary video today for Espire 2, the upcoming sequel to their first-person stealth action VR game Espire 1: VR Operative. This new video shows off some of the new playable Espire models that are known in-game as "frames."
This behind the scenes look at the game shows off the creation and enhancement of each frame. They also show off some of the advantages each frame offers in terms of gameplay. Each frame has different abilities and attributes.
One frame, named "Sinder," is an "upgraded and enhanced model of the original frame from Espire 1." This frame is tall, fast, and strong. It includes a built-in tranquilizer launcher as its special ability and an iron-sights cam for its special weapon function. The second frame is known as "Sooty" and is smaller allowing it to move through smaller pathways. Sooty includes a noisemaker for distracting enemies along with a holo-sight beam for its special weapon function.
Espire 2 is set to be released in November 2022 for the Meta Quest 2. Other VR platforms have not been announced.
