The game was first revealed back in 2016.
Unnamed Techland fantasy action RPG

Six years after its announcement, Techland is finally ready to really get to work on a new open-world action-RPG fantasy game that they first teased roughly six years ago. The game, which does not yet have a name, will apparently be their next major title following the successful launch of Dying Light 2.

The only piece of media released for this new title is the single piece of concept art, seen above.

Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka says that they are very happy with what they have done with the Dying Light franchise thus far. They also note that while they are gearing up for this new project, development on Dying Light 2 and new Dying Light 2 content will continue. Marchewka says that Techland will support Dying Light 2 for at least 5 years. He hopes to match and even exceed the post-launch support that they provided to the first Dying Light.

"At the same time, our ambition is to introduce a brand new IP that is vastly different from what we have been doing for the past several years. We want to create a fully next-gen experience. A new fantasy epic set in a sprawling open world, fueled by the skills and experience we have gained as a team over the years, infused with new ideas, passion, and creativity."
To support this new title, Techland has been steadily growing its workforce. Employees from studios like CD Projekt Red, Ubisoft, Arkane, Guerrilla Games, and People Can Fly have joined Techland for this project. Narrative director Karolina Stachyra and narrative lead Arkadiusz Borowik worked on the The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3. Lead game designer David McClure previously worked on Deathloop as a game systems designer. Creative director Mario Maltezos worked on Mad Max and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Still, Techland is on a hiring spree at the moment.
