A new update for Elden Ring came out earlier today. The update, listed as Update 1.04.1, addresses a few issues that either cropped up in the recent 1.04 patch or didn't get fixed in time to make it into that update.
Most notably, today's update fixes a bug with Malenia, Blade of Miquella. This super tough, but optional, boss fight had an issue introduced in 1.04 that allowed her to heal her health when engaging her in some jolly online cooperation. Seems she was able to heal herself without actually landing a hit on a player-controlled character. This made the already difficult encounter quite a bit more challenging for all parties involved.
This issue and a few others were fixed today. The full changelog is below. Today's update brings the application version up to version 1.04.1 and the regulation version to 1.04.2.

- Fixed a bug in which the effect duration of the Cerulean Hidden Tear was revised downward
- Fixed a bug with Malenia, Blade of Miquella in which her HP was not healed correctly in the online multiplayer environment
- Fixed a bug that caused some bosses to die at unintended times
- Fixed a bug that prevented the boss "Elden Beast" from working properly under certain circumstances
- Fixed some texts
