Double Fine Productions really wants as many players as possible to enjoy Psychonauts 2 when it comes out. The development studio confirmed that they will have an invincibility toggle that you can switch on whenever you want. This will allow you to beat the game, or difficult sections, without the fear of dying.

The studio made this announcement via Twitter. They say that "if you beat Psychonauts 2 with the invincibility toggle on, you still beat P2." They later added that "all people should be able to enjoy games." The studio also doubled down on those hardcore Gamers™️ that love to crap all over optional accessibility settings like this.

Of course this still hasn't stopped Gamers™️ from shouting out their opinion that nobody asked for. Thankfully there are others that are fully supporting this move. After all, it's optional. You don't have to use it if you don't want. That's the beauty of choice.

Double Fine did expand upon a bit on other accessibility options that will be included in Psychonauts 2. They briefly mentioned features like colorblind modes, larger subtitles, alternate platforming controls, combat adjustments, localized in-game signs, and more. You can see a bit more about these features in the below video that originally went up in May.

Double Fine confirmed that enabling any of the accessibility options will not disable achievements.

Psychonauts 2 is set to be released on August 25 for Windows, Linux, macOS, PlayStation, and Xbox.
