The team behind Xbox Game Pass at Microsoft announced that EA Play will not be added into Game Pass for PC until 2021. Originally, the two subscription services were supposed to merge at some point during the month of November. Sadly, that just wasn't the case after all.

No details were provided on what has caused the delay. All we know is that the teams are "asking for a little more patience." The short blog post, updated today, does not offer much more information than that.

The Xbox Game Pass team says that they will have more to share with fans "early next year."

Unfortunately, what had been a celebratory post is now one asking for a little more patience: We made the decision to delay until 2021 the release of EA Play on PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate memberships.

We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together. In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience.
