I have some sad news to pass along to you today about the latest from the psychological horror masters at Bloober Team. Their upcoming game, The Medium, has been delayed until January 28, 2021. This delay impacts all versions of the game from the Xbox Series X|S to the PC version.
The team says that the decision to delay the game wasn't an easy choice to make. They say that the reason for the delay is, you guessed it, partially due to the COVID-19 situation in Poland. The other reason is because of the "current schedule of other games on the market."
Guess what The Medium's original release date was? If you guessed December 10, 2020, you would be correct! You know what game recently changed their release date to December 10, 2020? If you said Cyberpunk 2077 then you would be correct.
Yeah, I probably wouldn't want to release my game against Cyberpunk either. That's just the unfortunate nature of the business. Regardless of all this, Bloober Team says that they are "committed to delivering our biggest, most ambitious, fear-inducing experience to date."
The added development time will allow them to further polish the game. The team will also allow them to share even more media for the game in the lead up to the game's new release date.
