Farewell dedicated servers.
Later on this month, dedicated servers will be "decommissioned" for Friday the 13th: The Game. The patch does not have a set date just yet, but consider this your warning. This comes direct from lead community developer mattshotcha on the official Friday the 13th: The Game forums.
This means that the game will still continue to live on but that there will be only peer-to-peer matchmaking from then on. He goes on to note that this upcoming patch will also be the final patch for Friday the 13th.
This final patch will have fixes for a long list of player reported issues. The full list of changes are expected to go live roughly one week prior to the patch itself going live. So there should be plenty of advance warning on when those servers are going bye-bye.
Furthermore, the official forums for the game will be archived in a locked state. Players will be able to reference old information this way but will not be able to keep posting.
Finally, the team will keep double XP, double CP, and double tape drop rates. They were initially meant to just be temporary during the pandemic but they will stay on for good now.
