NASCAR Heat 5, the officially licensed NASCAR title, is slated to ship on Tuesday, July 7. The game is coming in hot for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This date is specifically for the Gold Edition of the game. A Standard Edition will launch on July 10. I had thought we were already beyond this staggered release date thing by now, but NASCAR is out here proving me wrong.
This release date announcement(s) is accompanied by a debut trailer for the game. The trailer is called "Refuse to Lose" and is narrated by known NASCAR race caster Ken Squier. It shows off the cover car and its driver, Chase Elliott. Plus we also get a look at the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch, and 2014 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick.
NASCAR Heat 5 is being developed by 704Games and published by Motorsport Games. As you would expect from an officially licensed title, NASCAR Heat 5 offers all official teams, cars, and drivers from the NASCAR Cup Series. You also get the same treatment for those participants in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, and the Xtreme Dirt Series.
This game features 34 "authentic" tracks from all across North America. You can race these tracks in either single player, two-player split screen, and online multiplayer with up to 40 players at once. Because of this support for up to 40 players racing at once, the official eNASCAR Heat Pro League will kick off later this year.
Motorsport Games has also announced that the Gold Edition of NASCAR Heat 5, available to pre-order now, will sport exclusive content featuring Tony Stewart, including the ability to have the NASCAR Hall of Famer as your in-game spotter, an exclusive Career contract offer from Stewart-Haas Racing, classic Tony Stewart paint schemes, the NASCAR Heat 5 Season Pass (containing four DLC packs) and in-game cash to kick-start your own team.
