On the evening of January 18th, Nintendo announced that they will be holding a new Direct on February 20, 2020 at 6AM (PT). This isn't one of their typical Direct streams though. This will be a Direct that is focused solely on Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Nintendo made this announcement in a brief tweet. They say that this New Horizons Direct will feature an "in-depth look at Nook Inc.'s Deserted Island Getaway Package." The entire Direct will run for roughly 25 minutes.
As with pretty much all of Nintendo's Directs, if you don't watch it live you can just watch it whenever. I know 6AM is pretty early in the day for a lot of people to want to watch a pre-recorded video. If you do happen to miss it, just check out Nintendo's YouTube page for the video whenever you feel like it.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the latest in the ever popular "social simulation" franchise from Nintendo. This new game is slated to be released on the Nintendo Switch beginning March 20, 2020. Up to eight friends will be able to share a play experience in the same town. Players will once again get to interact and get to become friends with a wide cast of non-playable characters. Players will also once again fall into a horrible debt thanks to Tom Nook. Hopefully you're able to pay off that mortgage! You wouldn't want to upset Tom, now would you? If I were you, I wouldn't trust him.
