As Cuphead turns 2, the sales continue to climb.

In the course of just two years, the phenomenally animated run-and-gun platformer, Cuphead, has surpassed 5 million copies sold. This is according to a celebratory statement issued by the game's developer, Studio MDHR.

This announcement also includes word of a 20% off sale for the rest of the week. This sale includes all available platforms: Xbox One, PC, macOS, and the Nintendo Switch.

Cuphead had previously hit the 4 million sales mark just back in July. That means that in just about three months, the game had managed to sell another 1 million units. That's one impressive number for one impressive game.

Cuphead is an action filled game that goes in hard to look like it is straight out of an animated cartoon from the 1930s. It was originally released for the PC and Xbox One on September 29, 2017. It's won numerous awards including being voted as one of the best games of 2017, one of the best co-op multiplayer games, best music, and best style.
