  • New Story Trailer for Control

    This is self-explanatory.
    Control

A new story trailer has come out for Control, the soon to be released title from Remedy Entertainment. Control promises to once again deliver the story-driven action that Remedy is known for. The studio previously brought us the first two Max Payne titles, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break.

If you thought Max Payne and Alan Wake offered up some otherworldly thrills, you haven't seen anything yet. The new story trailer gives you just a small glimpse at the nightmare born creatures, places, and even abilities that you will encounter. It's as intriguing as the solarmovie.

Control is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is slated for an August 27, 2019 release. It will launch on the PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive.

The minimum and recommended PC requirements were also confirmed not too long ago. I'll include those below along with a brief bit about the game and some key features.

Early impressions are that this game is good, but it feels like it shares a lot of DNA with Quantum Break which wasn't a good shooter, and was one of the worst optimized PC releases in recent memory (though it ran fine if you chose the option to downscale, which i imagine will happen here too...).
Everything i've seen of it has been "concrete simulator with physics", the slow reveal of what's happening in its world is a little trite, all i really know is you play as a female protagonist and the world is 90% concrete so i'm just kind of... waiting... i haven't seen what makes this game interesting yet.
Can't play it day 1 due to the Epic Store anyway so, there's plenty of time left to see.

Have this through the current NVidia promo, and somehow I forgot I actually owned Quantum Break. Not sure if it was a bundle or something... just wish there'd be a true Max Payne follow up (3 was fun but wasn't Max Payne.)
