Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series will be removed from all platforms on June 25. This applies to both the first and second season of the series. This also applies to every single platform that the games were released on including: Windows, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android, and iOS.
If you want to play these games now or at any point in the future, you must download every episode before June 25, 2019.
This news was passed along via the official Minecraft website. This is obviously being done in the wake of Telltale's closure. This actually comes just a few days after GOG delisted their remaining Telltale titles from their storefront. Those titles included The Wolf Among Us, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Hector: Badge of Carnage, the Batman series, Sam & Max series, Puzzle Agents series, Tales from the Borderlands, and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People.
Whether or not these games will ever see another publisher in the future remains a big mystery. Right now, that's simply not happening. If you decide not to download these episodes now in hopes that they come back later with a new publisher, that's entirely on you.
