Octopath Traveler Moving from Switch to PC this Summer
On June 7, the critically acclaimed RPG Octopath Traveler will be released on the PC. The game, which has seen a great deal of success on the Nintendo Switch, is the latest non-Final Fantasy title to be released by Square Enix.
The game makes extensive use of "HD-2D visuals" that contain a blend of 2D character designs and 3D environments. Players take control of eight unique characters, each with their own stories to experience, their own motivations, and their own gameplay mechanics. Some will be on a journey of self-discovery while others may be out for revenge. Each character begins their adventure in a different locale, allowing you, the player, to steer the game in the direction they want to depending on who you choose.
Octopath Traveler will be released on June 7, 2019 for the PC via Steam. At launch, the game will include English and Japanese audio options. There will be subtitles for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
You can either order it from the Square Enix Store or via Steam once it's made available for purchase. Here, enjoy this PC announcement trailer along with some screenshots that I think are from the PC version of the game.
