The free games coming with April 2019's Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus were revealed this week. Let's just get right to it.
Xbox owners will get to play games like The Technomancer and Outcast: Second Contact this April. PlayStation owners get just two PlayStation 4 titles again and those are The Surge and Conan Exiles. We particularly enjoyed The Surge back when it was first released, which was reviewed prior to a number of patches being released. The Technomancer earned an "honorable mention" in our games of the year for 2016.

Conan Exiles
Drawing inspiration from the classic barbarian tales, survival open world survival game Conan Exiles winds back the clock to the very dawn of civilization, casting you as a forgotten exile abandoned alone in the desert for crimes unknown. Starting out with nothing but a loincloth and your own two hands, you’ll have to explore this vast, hostile world, gathering materials, crafting tools and carving out a new life for yourself in a world filled with danger. Exploring a shared online space, you’ll have the chance to meet with other players, build settlements and bases together, and even raise your own armed fortresses as you advance your mission to dominate this brave new world.
The Surge
From the creators of brutal medieval action-adventure Lords of the Fallen comes a challenging sci-fi spin on the hardcore RPG genre. Take on the role of new staff member Warren who, following a trying first day on the job, awakens to the aftermath of an unknown cataclysm to find his new workplace devastated and its ruins overrun by out-of-control machines. Explore the twisting maze-like environment of the CREO research facility, fending off haywire tech, scavenging new parts and weapons, rescuing survivors and unlocking the secrets of this vast, abandoned facility.

Feared and respected by all, you’ll develop four different combat skill trees based on three different fighting styles. Craft your weapons, take part in dynamic conversations and explore lost cities as your actions dramatically alter the story and world.
Outcast: Second Contact (April 16-May 15, XB1)
Play the complete remake of the cult-classic that started the open world, action-adventure genre in Outcast: Second Contact. On Adelpha, an alien world as beautiful as it is dangerous, explore magic and science and make the right choices to save the destiny of two universes.
Star Wars Battlefront II (April 1-15, XB1, 360)
Take part in a battle far, far away in the classic Star Wars Battlefront II. Either play the campaign of a veteran clone trooper reminiscing of his time in the 501st Legion or enjoy multiple gameplay modes. Fight on foot in the front lines, use the force powers of a Jedi, or dogfight in space in your favorite starships, all in 16 exotic locations.
