  • Next Black Desert Expansion 'Drieghan' Playable at EGX 2018

    Those who are going to this year's EGX will get to play the upcoming Drieghan expansion for Black Desert Online. Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games say that they will show off this new content that features a large, mountainous area with "over 300 challenging quests" and a dragon boss. Dragon bosses are cool.
    Drieghan will launch later this year as a free update and will be playable for the very first time during this year’s EGX game show which takes place between the 20th and 23rd of September in Birmingham. Kakao Games is partnering with ESL, the world’s largest independent esports company, to provide visitors with a unique first look into this exciting new content. Black Desert Online’s Drieghan expansion is playable on 40 high-end Alienware PCs at the ESL Arena powered by Intel, the biggest activation during the EGX game show.

    EGX visitors who visit the Black Desert Booth will be able to check out the new Drieghan expansion, have a chance at defeating the new dragon world boss, as well as receive a free game code of Black Desert Online valued at £7.99. There are three great ways to win the exclusive Black Desert Online goodie bag:

    1. Defeat the world boss
    2. PVP tournament
    3. Post a picture on SNS with our cosplayers using #BDORemastered

    Kakao Games say that they will stream their booth live during EGX. You will be able to watch that on the official Black Desert Online Twitch channel.

        The full list of nominees for The Game Awards 2018 was passed along to us today. You can check all of that out below.

        You should know that The Game Awards will be held on Thursday, December 6 at the Microsoft Theater in LA at 9PM (ET). You can vote for your favorites right now at TheGameAwards.com, via Twitter Direct Message, Facebook Messenger, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and the official Game Awards Discord server.

        All of that seems really odd and they did not specify how to do any of that, but there you are. I even tried to ask my Google Home "how do I vote for The Game Awards" and it had no idea.

        You will be able to watch The Game Awards live on December 6 through YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, Mixer, Steam TV, PlayStation 4, Xbox Live, IGN, GameSpot, Polygon, MLG, and Caffeine.tv. Believe it or not, there are actually even more places still not yet announced where you can watch it, especially if you live in China....

        Pearl Abyss announce that the global launch for their open-world action-adventure game, Crimson Desert, will take place at 3 PM PT later today (March 19). This simultaneous global release will be for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Mac, Epic, and ROG Xbox Ally.

        Soulcalibur and Tekken World Tours Cancelled Through June

        Tournament events all over the world are cancelled.

        Bandai Namco announced today that they are removing a number of World Tour events "until further notice." These include two Soulcalibur World Tour 2020 events and nine different Tekken World Tour 2020 that were scheduled through June.

        These changes have been made in response to the "highly dynamic nature surrounding (the) coronavirus (Covid-19)." Bandai Namco says that they will make future announcements...
