Microsoft informed everyone today that Forza Horizon 3 now has Xbox One X enhancements ready to download and install. This free update, available to everyone playing the game on the Xbox One X, increases the resolution to 4K and adds in some additional visual improvements. Alongside the 4K resolution bump, the game incorporates 4xMSAA! The image quality is absolutely insane already but that's not all. Some of these smaller improvements include better car reflections, higher quality shadows, and improved texture detail for the terrain.In addition, 4K resolution enhancements will be fully compatible with both Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels expansions for Forza Horizon 3. Whether you’re careening across the dunes of the Outback in your favorite off-roader or building up a legion of fans with death-defying stunt driving in the rainforest, the 4K-enhanced version of Forza Horizon 3 is a thrilling blend of fantastic gameplay and cutting-edge visuals.
From what I understand, while the visuals gain a significant boost especially when it comes to the resolution, Forza Horizon 3 runs at just 30FPS on the Xbox One X. However, that's a solid 30FPS according to the latest video from Digital Foundry.
