The first trailer for Ready Player One made its debut this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. Directed by Steven Spielberg, Ready Player One is based off of the Ernest Cline dystopian sci-fi novel of the same name. The film is slated to be released in 2018.When the creator of an MMO called the Oasis dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all Oasis users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune. Wade Watts finds the first clue and starts a race for the Egg.

You see Duke Nukem there? How's about Freddy Krueger? Deadshot? Harley Quinn? The Halo Assault Rifle? Surely you at least noticed Iron Giant, I mean it's literally the image I'm using for this news post. Obviously there are a ton of additional references, but I'm not about to list them all out for you.
Also the first music sounded like Pure Imagination from the original Willy Wonka.
