Vivendi, the company that likes lying through their teeth, is reportedly aiming to finalize their acquisition of Ubisoft later this year.

This is according to sources close to Reuters. More specifically, a source told them that "Vivendi is moving to the second phase, everything will take place this year."

According to the sources, Vivendi is also looking to pick up the advertising group Havas. They are also reportedly looking to pick up some acquisitions in China.

As it stands right now, Vivendi owns about 25% of Ubisoft stock. As we noted previously, once that amount hits 30%, Vivendi will be required by French law to attempt a takeover.
