• Get Ready for More DirectX 12 Ports

A new video from Microsoft shows off the "Power of DirectX 12." Included in the video are showcases of games that will get the bump to DirectX 12 in the coming months.

These games include Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Forza Motorsport 6, Quantum Break, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Fable Legends, King of Wushu, and Ashes of Singularity.
"DirectX 12 is a ground-breaking Microsoft technology that gives game developers the ability to harness the full capabilities of a PC’s GPU(s) and raise the bar on graphic fidelity and immersive gameplay."

That first comparison was mostly a saturation change, and that short segment of Deus Ex gameplay had an awful framerate xD!

Devs are essentially doing the same crap they did with DX11 and every other DX. DX11 offered performance gains compared to the previous versions. However, devs saw this as an opportunity to add a bunch of additional "eye candy" into the world that completely negated any performance gains there might have been otherwise. Same thing is going to happen with DX12.

I see and that's unfortunate. I remember one of the very hyped features of DX12 was the ability to use two different GPUS (like the high powered and the integrated one of a laptop) at the same time to render different parts of the game and improve performance. I wonder how easy is that to implement and how much will it actually be used

Let it be known, i saw zero graphical flourishes from DX11 during its lifespan, as far as i can tell it was designed entirely to remove frames :P.
With DX12 heading in the same direction, and the added bonus of Windows 10 exclusivity, it's never been a better time to be a P..... a Windows 10 user.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Update Promises PC Performance Gains, Removes Denuvo
by Shawn Zipay
Several bug fixes have also been included.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fans have been waiting about a year for Respawn Entertainment to do something about the rather abysmal performance present in the game. Those performance woes including, but not limited to, poor framerates in several key areas as well as a heavy amount of traversal stutter.

Though several patches have already been released for the game before now and while there have been a few improvements here and...

Denuvo to Offer Independent Benchmarks to Prove It Doesn't Cause Performance Issues
by Shawn Zipay
The controversial DRM system has long been blamed for poorly performing PC games.

Despite the years of complaints from PC players, Denuvo is still the go-to option when it comes to adding anti-tamper and anti-piracy measures into new game releases. It's also still just as common to hear complaints from players saying that Deunvo is responsible for any and all performance woes that a player faces when playing a video game with it included.

These claims of degraded performance...
