Hideo Kojima and Sony have officially announced that Kojima Productions has been brought back to life! Kojima Productions made their new site live just moments ago tonight. They not only announced the new studio but they also announced that they are officially working with Sony to develop a console exclusive game for the PlayStation 4.Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Kojima Productions, a newly formed studio by the acclaimed game designer Hideo Kojima, to develop its first software title as a console exclusive to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) computer entertainment system.
"PlayStation's history is one of game innovation and great new franchises," said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. "Hideo Kojima has been a huge part of that history, and we are therefore delighted that he has chosen to bring his brand new project to life in partnership with PlayStation. We look forward to working with him on an exciting new game and warmly welcome him to the PlayStation family."
"I will be taking on a new challenge by establishing my own independent studio, and I am thrilled to be able to embark on this journey with PlayStation, who I have continued to work with all these past years," said Hideo Kojima, Game Designer, Kojima Productions. "I cannot wait to deliver, with PlayStation, a game that will become a compelling franchise."

The Kojima Productions website has a listing of job opportunities. Scroll down to the third section on the site to see if there is a career that is right for you. They're looking for artists, programmers, designers, and more. Though I'm going to assume that you'll probably have to live in Japan for this one.

Kojima describes the studio as being independent so i'll be interested to see how much budget Sony is putting towards this potential franchise.
Also, welcome back Hideo Kojima and fellow staff (or whoever's left). Good to see you're back to... Well... Do exactly the same thing as before it seems. I mean, to be honest, PlayStation has always seemed to be your strength, though I'm never really sure why (I don't feel it's as simple as "superior hardware"). Oh and you might want to tell that
@$$holeother employer of yours that you're no longer on vacation. You know? Be polite and let them know you're not actually in two companies at once. With that said, what the heck is that logo? It looks... Confusing.
*Googles.*
Let's see here... Designed by Yoji Shinkawa (surprise surprise)... Mr. Kojima thinks it "looks like a medieval knight and also a space suit"... Representative of the company mission statement, "Aiming for the new world with the latest technology and pioneering spirit"... Contract with Konami ended on Dec 15th (oh! Never mind what I said about the whole tell your employer thing then)...
Ok so this is just me and only my opinion that nobody will share. I think the logo looks creepy and messed up. It's not something I can easily picture in my head, and it looks rather ugly to me. That said, I have no reason to care what the logo is, because their games are all I care about. This should be fun.
