This past week, some third-party fans managed to get PlayStation 4 remote play working on their computers using some homebrew software. This apparently spurred some to ask Sony's Shuhei Yoshida if the company has any official plans to roll out official remote play functionality. Here is his official response.

There is no word on how long Sony has been working on the development of remote play functionality. Between this news and the news that Sony has been working on PlayStation 2 emulation for quite some time, Sony seems to be on a roll with the good news.
I'm assuming their "appication" detects PS4 pads through their direct input like how Rocket League picks it up, otherwise they'd have to release some kind of driver to help with PS4 controller support. If said driver continues to use direct input and disrupts controller emulation programs, the PS4 pad becomes useless for PC games which only support XInput.
DS4 XInput emulation continues to be an issue on Windows 10, DS4Windows are getting there but it seems difficult, dual inputs is an issue on many games across all versions of Windows... Please Sony, get this controller officially supported, get it flipping between XInput and Direct without double inputs.

After a quick tease just yesterday, it was confirmed today by Behaviour Interactive that Alan Wake will be joining the Survivors in Dead by Daylight. On January 30th, Alan Wake will be added as a playable Survivor. If you would like to try out Wake before the 30th, you can do so right now courtesy of a limited time public test build on Steam.

Valve just rolled out a big update for Steam today. This update, among other changes, introduces the ability for players to invite literally anybody to Remote Play Together. The invited person does not even need to have a Steam account!
This new update will allow those with a Steam account to grab an invite link and send it to anybody that they want. The person that accepts the invite will then be able to play with you...
