Bossa Studios, the team that made Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread released a handful of new screenshots today for Worlds Adrift. Prepare yourself because these screens are unlike anything else we've seen from the studio.

A thousand years ago, a great calamity shattered the world into floating islands scattered across an endless skyline. Ragtag bands wander from island to island on cobbled together airships, discovering lost technology and scavenging for resources to keep flying.

You are one of these nomads. You will build your own fully customisable ship, keep it fueled and repaired, and constantly look to improve it as you deal with predators of the skies, gargantuan storms, and rival explorers. Still, in the back of your mind, you can’t help but ask: How did my world become this way? What really happened, eons ago?

Worlds Adrift sees a return to the roots of online multiplayer games: a free-form exploration and adventure game where players create their own objectives and tell their own stories through their actions.

Worlds Adrift provides a setting that will live and breathe. There will be creatures that eat and live and die, trees that grow, ruins that hold secrets, and wreckage that rusts and rots, all inside a world that can be permanently affected by your actions. You are a part of the world, and it’s up to you to decide how you will make your mark.
