It appears as though YouTube is finally starting to deliver on the promise it made back in June that will allow video creators the ability to upload and play videos at 60 frames per second.
Some new videos uploaded today now play back at a wonderful 60fps, a huge step up to the 29.97fps playback for every single other video. There are a couple of catches, however.
First, you need to use Chrome. This is presumably because of Chrome's much better support for HTML5 video playback. Secondly, you need to watch the videos at resolutions at, or higher, than 720p.
If you have no trouble with either of those requirements, enjoy a few sample videos at 60fps!

Does it seem strange that according to Youtube, who are owned by Google, that Chrome plays HTML5 video better than anything else, Chrome being made by Google and everything... i don't know, i've used Firefox for HTML5 video before, seemed fine to me.
There is apparently a workaround for Firefox but it involves changing a lot of the flags in the browser and telling it not to use certain codecs and it's kind of messy when it's just easier to use Chrome if you want to watch a 60fps YouTube video.
