Pearl Abyss showed up at gamescom Opening Night Live with a new trailer for Crimson Desert. Specifically, they showed off the big 2.0 update for Crimson Desert, an update apparently so grand that they're now calling the game Crimson Desert Enhanced.
The Enhanced update is free to everyone who already owns the game. Included in the 2.0 update are a variety of new cutscenes and dialogue that create a "more cohesive experience" and a better flow to the story. As enjoyable as Crimson Desert is, much of the game's story and lore is easily missable and never actually shared with the player beyond some easily overlooked books. These new additions should hopefully alleviate that issue.
This update also adds five new languages: French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese (Brazilian).
To celebrate this "Enhanced" 2.0 update, Crimson Desert is on sale across all digital platforms, including Steam. From now through September 9, you can purchase Crimson Desert for 20% off its normal price.
