Gauntlet is being developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. You might remember them from their work on Magicka and the upcoming Helldivers game. As per usual, players will get to select from four classes: Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie, or Elf. They all have strengths and weaknesses, as you might expect.
"To us at Arrowhead, Gauntlet is one of the most defining games from our childhoods, and it's amazing to be able to work with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on a brand new version," said Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios. "Gauntlet is one of the original and best known video game properties and we are looking forward to creating a fresh, yet true to the original, take on a multiplayer masterpiece."
If you did not already know (and somehow didn't watch the trailer), Gauntlet is all about going through dungeons and killing everything you can. You'll be able to find health pickups and keys to help you on your journey as you battle against ghosts, demons, spiders, skeletons, and much more.
