As I understand it, these ports were done by Nvidia themselves. The Nvidia Shield retails for $199 and can either play games natively or you can stream games to the device from your PC using GeForce Experience. Meaning, you could have already been playing both Half-Life 2 and Portal on your Shield for quite some time now.
