What's Low Latency And Why Does It Matter?

While the speed of data transfer is important, it's not the only thing. You could argue the speed of data transfer isn't the priority. What is a priority for businesses is latency. You can look at the various characteristics of 5G networks to see why it's such an advancement in this regard. Compared to 4G or LTE networks, 5G ends up...

Starbreeze continues to climb back from the depths.

We finally got a little bit of an update today on Payday 3, a game which hasn't been talked about since February 2021. NewsBits - The Game Awards 2022 Edition

As far as awards shows go, this certainly was one of the awards show of all time.
It was a night like none other. A night that opened with Steam user Milf Hunter winning a free Steam Deck from Valve. It was a night with an acceptance speech that went on for over eight minutes while a haggard looking Al Pacino stood by. It was a night that included a weird joke about murder statistics. It was also a night that ended with someone with possible ties to right-wing media saying something on mi...

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) of the United States of America (USA) just filed a new complaint today that aims to block Microsoft's $69 billion (USD) acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This complaint is essentially a lawsuit, or a legal block, that will place at least a temporary stop to the acquisition being approved until such a point that this complaint is settled. This news comes in an email that the FTC sent to me this...

Days Gone Director Blames Poor Reception on 'Woke Reviewers'

Those damn reviewers just couldn't handle playing as a "gruff white biker looking at his date's ass."

I liked Days Gone, at least when I played through it again recently on PC. Did it have some issues? Oh, absolutely. The pacing was rather terrible throughout, but was especially poor in the opening few hours. The melee combat was also lacking. There were some other nitpicks here and there, but I generally had a good time with it. The acting was stellar in spite of some poor...

  • How Many Games Did You Complete in 2025?
    by Shawn Zipay
Make up your own definition of "complete."

Was 2025 a big year for game completions for you, or were you more of a "stick to one never-ending, live-service game for the entire year" sort of player?

For this, you can take whatever definition you want as a game "completion." Beat the main story? Earned 100% of the game's achievements? Or simply played enough that you're satisfied with what you accomplished and have no plans to return any time...
