DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably a massive understatement.

So, DICE tried to find a compromise...

Resident Evil 3 Remake Cover Art Leaked

Features a look at Jill, Carlos, and Nemesis.

We seem to have yet another leak on our hands today. This time it's for the still not officially announced remake of Resident Evil 3. It seems as though the cover art for this totally not real game was found on the servers for the PlayStation Store.

A games tracker feature on Gamstat quickly embeded the images from the PlayStation Store and thus made them visible publicly. Since then the images were pulled from being publicly accessible on the PlayStation Store. It's a good thing Gematsu saved the...

  • Fortnite Chapter 2 Offers Big Changes for Battle Royale and Very Little for Save the World

Black hole sun, won't you come...

Thousands of people watched a mysterious black hole where Fortnite once stood. Literally. It was the top watched "game" on Twitch the past few days and it was literally nothing but a glorified screensaver. You could not play Fortnite at all. There was no Battle Royale. There was no Save the World. There was nothing. There were some random numbers at times, but who really cares.

All of that nothingness has led to today's launch of Fortnite Chapter 2. This is still a free download for the PlayStation...

Saints Row 2 PC is Getting Some Much Needed Patches Soon

After years of searching, the original PC source code has been found.

As part of their 11th anniversary stream for Saints Row 2, Volition announced that they are going to release some massive improvements to the severely broken game on PC.

The team has found the PC source code from the original release on the PC. Keep in mind that the game was initially outsourced to a third-party for the PC port and they did not do a great job at it. In fact, you might call the port "terrible" or "the worst PC port ever" and it wouldn't be...

  • Multiple Layoffs Hit Planetside 2 Studio Daybreak Games

Multiple Layoffs Hit Planetside 2 Studio Daybreak Games

Layoffs are the result of a company "realignment."

Multiple employees have been laid off from Daybreak Games. These layoffs occured at the end of the week last week and have seemingly impacted every department within the company. The San Diego-based studio is responsible for games such as Planetside 2, H1Z1, and the newly launched Planetside Arena.

Planetside Arena went into Early Access just this past month, but so far the reception has been tepid, at best, for the F2P battle arena game. Even now, less than one month since release,...

  • Review: GreedFall (PC)

    Review: GreedFall (PC)

    A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

  • Blizzard Chooses Not to Ban American University Hearthstone Players Who Showed Support for Hong Kong

The team decided to forfeit the season anyway over Blizzard's double standards.

Blizzard continues to dig themselves into an ever deepening hole this week. It all began when Blizzard banned a professional Hearthstone player and took away his earnings after he voiced his support for the Hong Kong protests during a live-stream interview. The troubles continued when lawmakers and plenty of others loudly voiced their disgust over what they did. Some Blizzard employees even staged a walkout the other day to show their support for the banned player and broadcasters....
