  • Battlefield Devs 6 Looking Into 'Unexpectedly Fast' Time to Death

If you encountered this, the devs want to see it.

The Battlefield 6 open beta has come and gone, at least for the first weekend, but that doesn't mean the teams at Electronic Arts are taking a break. DICE developer Florian Le Bihan took to social media with requests from players to share video examples of "unexpectedly fast" time-to-death (TTD) encountered during the open beta.

It seems like some players have reported experiencing a TTD that, to them, felt exceptionally fast. If you thought you encountered this situation while playing, you probably aren't alone. Le Bihan notes that they are looking for situations where there was a "super bullet" situation.

Those "super bullet" or "unexpectedly fast TTD" include instances where you were taken out instantly while in cover. Another example shared was a case where the player took delayed damage after the enemy was already downed.

Interestingly, players also found out that when there isn't some "super bullet" bug happening, the TTK between Battlefield 6 and Battlefield 4 are nearly identical.

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V
      by Shawn Zipay
Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably...

      Review: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PC)
      by Shawn Zipay

I don't remember history being this buggy. If there is one area that video games come up short in, it's when they attempt to tackle real-life history. Specifically, games come up well short in being historically accurate without also including a healthy dose of embellishment or suspension of disbelief. In nearly all of the games that focus on real-world history, you almost always play as some overpowered jack-of-all-trades. Yes, this includes games and franchises such as ...
