Playground Games just shared some hot new details on the PC version of Forza Horizon 6. The studio shared a list of the PC hardware requirements you'll need to have in order to play the game at a minimum, while also providing further details on what you'll need to play the game at the highest graphical settings.
Forza Horizon 6, due for release on May 19 (15th for big spenders), takes you to Japan. In order to see the true beauty of the region, you'll probably want to drive around using some form of ray tracing functionality. Forza Horizon 6 will include access to ray traced reflections and global illumination for cards that can support it.
The PC version will also support up to 4K resolution, HDR visuals, uncapped framerate support, and ultrawide monitor resolution support. As any good racing title should, Forza Horizon 6 will also feature "robust" controller and wheel support. Playground Games also says that Forza Horizon 6 will be good to play on handheld PC devices such as the Xbox ROG Ally and the Steam Deck.
In addition, Forza Horizon 6 will support the latest upscaling technologies from Nvidia, AMD, and Intel. Nvidia DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is offered to those on RTX 50 Series cards. RTX 40 Series cards gets access to DLSS Frame Generation. All RTX cards will get access to DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA, and Nvidia Reflex. AMD users can use either FSR 4 or FSR 3. Intel users will get to use XeSS 2.1.
There are even some quality-of-life style improvements to the graphical settings in Forza Horizon 6.For the first time, render settings on PC can be changed without the need to restart the game to take effect. There are also live previews for many of the graphical settings. There is a real-time view of video and system memory usage. Finally, there is a benchmark mode that will give you a way to assess your performance that is consistent, allowing you to adjust settings as needed.
Forza horizon 6 features cross-save functionality. This will allow you to keep playing right where you left off no matter which platform you're on. Go from PC to Steam Deck to PlayStation 5 if you want and you won't lose any progress.
Now, as for the system requirements themselves, you can either see what hardware you'll need in the image above or in the chart below. It's nice to see that all resolutions shown are not upscaled, with the exception of the 4K resolution when using Extreme RT.
