The leak is coming from inside the studio!

Forza Horizon 6 developer Playground Games did a little whoopsie. A few days ago, the studio mistakenly leaked Forza Horizon 6 when they made public an unencrypted repository of the entirety of Forza Horizon 6 on Steam. From the looks of it, it seems as though the entirety of the game's 155 GB of content were available to the public for a brief period of time.

Playground Games just shared some hot new details on the PC version of Forza Horizon 6. The studio shared a list of the PC hardware requirements you'll need to have in order to play the game at a minimum, while also providing further details on what you'll need to play the game at the highest graphical settings.

According to reporting from The Verge, Xbox is looking to have a rather big year in 2026. Citing confidential sources, The Verge says that the Xbox division at Microsoft will release a new Forza game, a new Halo, a new Fable, and a new Gears of War title this year.

Of course, all of these were already known to be coming. Forza Horizon 6 will be the first of these four to be released, with a release date set for May 19th.

Japan has been a long-requested location for the Forza Horizon series.

After many years of fan requests, the Forza Horizon series by Playground Games is headed to Japan. In 2026 Forza Horizon 6 takes racers to Japan on Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Microsoft Store, Xbox Cloud, and day one on Game Pass.
