A bunch of former Capcom veterans working at the Netease studiuo, GPTRACK50 Inc., just revealed their first title. Their new game, Stupid Never Dies, is an action-RPG currently in development for PlayStation 5 and Steam.
The reveal trailer, shown at The Game Awards, features the main zombie protagonist, Davy, singing alongside the non-zombie heroine, Julia. The two are performing a duet set to the game's main theme in a trailer that shows off the style and some gameplay. We get a look into the personalities of the two along with a look at their strange but deep relationship.
Stupid Never Dies is supposed to be out in 2026.
Despite having "GPT" in their name, GPTRACK50 does not indicate that they use generative AI services, such as Chat GPT, for game development. In addition to being a new home for former Capcom devs, the studio was founded by Kiroyuki Kobayashi, whom served as producer on various franchises such as Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, and Dragon's Dogma.
Presented in a music-video style, the newly released teaser introduces the world to the zombie protagonist, Davy , and the human heroine, Julia, performing to the game’s theme song.
The footage offers a glimpse into their personalities and relationship, while the fast-paced pop-punk track captures the game’s vibrant world and energetic spirit.
In the game, Davy will be joined by a cast of unique allies who support him as he ventures into another world where he will face off against a distinctive rogues gallery of iconic enemy monsters including werewolves, lizardmen, and skeletons in a fresh take on the Action RPG genre which GPTRACK50 have christened “Blazing Fast Growth”.
