The Resident Evil universe expands today with the global launch of Resident Evil Survival Unit. Co-developed by Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation, this new mobile strategy game is now available for download on iOS and Android devices in 151 countries and regions.

Unlike the franchise's traditional survival horror roots, this title introduces a strategic twist. Set in a parallel world, players must build bases, manage resources, and command troops in real-time battles against infected creatures in a collapsed city. The game supports multiplayer alliances, allowing users to coordinate strategies with friends worldwide for a tense, tactical experience.

Fan-favorite characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine are central to the gameplay. Players can form dream teams that cross traditional timeline boundaries, enabling unique squad combinations not found in the main series. Adding to the game's distinct atmosphere, renowned artist Yoshitaka Amano has contributed an original creature design named Mortem, which symbolizes invisible fear and anxiety.

Resident Evil Survival Unit is a free-to-play title with optional in-app purchases. You can view the new launch trailer and download the game now from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 3 remake today. It's just called Resident Evil 3, just as the Resident Evil 2 remake was just Resident Evil 2. Confusing for us older gamers? Yeah, just a bit.
