Today, Bethesda released Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. This is "the most definitive version of Fallout 4" to date and is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. This release essentially includes all of the previously released DLC and expansion, while also adding in an additional pack of over 150 pieces of Creation Club content.
Now, if you already own Fallout 4, then things get a little weird. Bethesda even made a visual chart that might give a better understanding of what is included and where.
If you own just Fallout 4, you can pick up the Anniversary Edition Upgrade to get the game's six previous official expansions and the 150+ pieces of Creation Club content that came out today. This costs $39.99.
Own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition? Then you can just get the Creations Bundle separately, but you'll have to pay $19.99. This is not to be confused with the Creations currency that was released in December 2023 which lets you purchase community-made content from an in-game store.
Want to just be a little wild and not get any of that? Well, you can still just buy the base version of Fallout 4 for $19.99, or Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition (which doesn't include the Creations Bundle content) for $39.99. Then there's also the bundle of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition and Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition for $89.08. Then there is the Fallout Franchise Bundle but that version of Fallout 4 is only Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition and does not seem to include the Creations Bundle content.
Confused? Look, if you can sit and install New Vegas mods for 10 hours, not including troubleshooting time to get a working load order, you can probably figure this all out.
The good news is that if you don't yet own Fallout 4 at all, then starting with the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition right out of the gate is your smartest play.

What are the Creation Club items included in the Anniversary Edition?
