During this evening's State of Play gameplay deep dive for Ghost of Yotei, Sony shared a look at a couple of themed PlayStation 5 hardware bundles. These bundles are inspired by Ghost of Yotei and feature "designs rooted in traditional Japanese art."
These stunning designs capture Sucker Punch’s fictional depiction of Ezo (which is now known as Hokkaido), and the world that players will embark on to explore Atsu’s tale of vengeance. Mt. Yōtei is an iconic location and has become a symbol for Hokkaido as well as Atsu herself, which is why we wanted to reflect the beauty of the region and landscape by paying homage to two beautiful Japanese visual traditions. Fans will also love that both consoles feature a special maker’s seal engraved with PlayStation shapes on the back of the console’s top cover as well as on the DualSense Wireless controllers.
The PS5 Console - Ghost of Yotei Black Limited Edition Bundle is being sold only through direct.playstation.com. This one "draws inspiration from another Japanese traditional art form, Sumi-e, which is the use of black ink on paintings."
Both bundles come with a matching DualSense wireless controller. They both include the PS5 hardware with disc drive, the themed DualSense, a digital copy of Ghost of Yotei Standard Edition, and the pre-order content that includes a unique in-game mask plus seven PSN avatars.
Already own a PS5 slim model? You'll be able to buy the covers separately. I guess if you have an original PlayStation 5 non-slim, you can get f'ed apparently. The themed DualSense controllers will also be sold separately.
