  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Now Available on PlayStation 5

This is the advanced access release.
The player, as Indiana Jones, punching the fuck out of a Nazi officer.

PlayStation 5 owners that purchased the $100 Premium Edition of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle can now play the game. Those that purchased just the base version of the game will have to wait until April 17.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is developed by MachineGames in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. It blends together "thrilling set pieces, intricate puzzle-solving, and intense hand-to-hand combat." The events of The Great Circle take place between Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

PlayStation 5 players will play at up to 60 FPS at high resolutions, and enjoy SSD optimizations for fast streaming and loading. DualSense controllers are supported, providing haptic feedback and adaptive trigger functionality. The lightbar also offers feedback on Indy's status should you ever glance down. The game also makes use of the PlayStation 5's Community Game Help feature, which allows players to get help from others on various challenges in the game.

Today's early release on PS5 coincides with two new "whip-enhancing actions." These are Open Season and Sleight of Hand. Open Season will cause an enemy to temporarily take more damage after being hit with a whip-crack. Sleight of Hand will allow players to disarm enemies and cause their weapons to fly towards Indy. These new abilities are available across all platforms.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is also already available on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and PC.

Speaking of advanced access, the one area I fault Steam in lately is that they facilitate this anti consumer practice. Like AI content or DLC charges, I'd like to see them disallow paid early access unless the game conforms to their established Early Access program.

Instead, they specially denote Advanced Access for those games that charge customers suffering from FOMO.
