The game takes place in Walton, Texas in the year 1980. You will try your best to survive while dealing with an army of the walking dead, scarce resources, and the mental toll this takes on yourself and other characters.
Those who played something like This War of Mine may notice some similarities between it and Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. While the developers don't directly mention that other game, it's hard not to notice some of that shared DNA between the titles.
