Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Announced for 2019 Release

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey was revealed this past week during The Game Awards. It is a third-person open world survival game. Original idea, right? Well, yeah, it is. See, Ancestors allows you to evolve in order to further your legacy. You do this by exploring, expanding, and doing a dang good job at that whole "surviving" thing.

Ancestors will be released at some point in 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

    Final Review: We Happy Few

    A fleeting Joy.
The other week, I put up a review in progress for We Happy Few. For the sake of simplicity, I left that intact below this "final" review section up top here. So, how did We Happy Few fare given the extra time I spent with it? Not well. Not well at all. As the hours continued on, the love affair I had with the game started to chip away. At first it was just a minor annoyance when I would run into issues like poor A.I., but it became harder and harder to ignore. There are only so many times where you could just write off seeing an NPC become stuck on world geometry and walk in place. There are only so many times where it stops being surprising to see NPCs appear and disappear on the exact second of sunrise and sunset. I lost track of how many NPCs I have seen "sitting" in the air, a ways away from any actual chair. Sadly, these were all experiences encountered after a massive patch for the game that came out shortly after release. A mechanic in the game finds you consuming Joy...

Celebrate 20 Years of Digimon with new 'Survival-RPG' Game in 2019

When I think of Digimon (digital monsters), I think about the survival-RPG genre. It's a match made in heaven like peanut butter and jelly.

Alright, maybe not, but somebody apparently thought about it because Digimon Survive is a real thing that is coming. Digimon Survive was announced today by Bandai Namco. It is currently in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and will be released in 2019.
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Digimon anime, Digimon Survive presents an original adventure set in a mysterious world with characters designed by Uiti Ukumo, and music composed by the

Prepare for Fallout 76 to Not Be the Fallout You Want

Earlier today, Bethesda finally stopped their night of teasing and indeed provided a reveal for a new Fallout game!

Today, Bethesda announced Fallout 76. They released no information about the game in the slightest. All they officially provided to the world is an announcement trailer and some screen grabs from the trailer. You can see those all at the bottom.

It looks like the trailer was intentionally vague. That is perhaps for good reason because sources have told Kotaku that Fallout 76 is an online survival RPG. With how coy everything about this announcement has been, this isn't entirely unexpected. Fallout 76 is named after Vault 76, which has been me...
