A new trailer for Permafrost debuted during this week's Future Games Show. The new trailer from SpaceRocket Games and Toplitz Productions shares a look at "some of the dangers that you, as one of the few survivors, face after a cataclysmic event."
That "cataclysmic event" is called the "Shattering" and it's when a "lunar catastrophe engulfed the whole planet under a thick coat of snow and ice as well as constant sub-zero temperatures."
You can either try to survive alone or with some buddies in co-op. You will explore a frigid open world environment that ranges from wilderness to now ruined cities. The co-op aspect allows up to four players to tackle the elements together.
Permafrost is targeting a summer release into Steam Early Access.
Utilize the scarce resources that will help you build essential shelter, set traps or construct tools vital for your survival. Maybe you have what it takes to save humanity’s future before you succumb to the big freeze. Forge your own path, band together to rebuild society or try to survive alone in the unforgiving environment.
