Nvidia released the new Game Ready 572.42 driver today for their lineup of graphics cards. This new Game Ready driver includes DLSS 4 support for titles such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, and Wuthering Waves. It also includes support for Sid Meier's Civilization 7.
Importantly, this new driver fixes a few game specific bugs. It fixes a crash when launching Valorant, a PC freeze when exiting Final Fantasy 16, and performance regressions in Delta Force. It also fixes a few bugs in the DXR Feature Test for 3DMark and also fixes an issue with version mismatches between updated dynamic link library (DLL) files.
Today's update also includes support for various RTX features in a handful of new and existing titles. In addition to the games with DLSS 4 support mentioned above, there is also new RTX technology support for Star Wars Outlaws, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic RTX Remix.
That last one, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic RTX Remix is the work of a small mod team called wiltOS Technologies. They have been working to update the 2006 Arkane FPS-RPG with RTX Remix features. The team is creating three different mods for Dark Messiah that can be used separate or together. One mod will update the game itself with bug fixes and quality of life improvements. The second mod adds a full online co-op campaign and other content. The third is the actual Nvidia RTX Remix mod that gives a major graphics overhaul to the game, adding in full ray tracing and DLSS support.
