February 21st is the date when the other half of the Fantastic Four are added to Marvel Rivals. The announcement of the arrival of the Thing and Human Torch was made earlier today. These two will join the rest of their team, Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and the Invisible Woman, as part of the playable roster in the team-based competitive title.
The Thing will occupy a spot under the Vanguard role. In other words, he will be a tank. The Human Torch on the other hand will be a Duelist, which is otherwise known as a DPS. Reed Richards is also a Duelist and Sue Storm is a Strategist (healer/support).
The second half of the fantastic team of four will be added as part of a bigger mid-season update. This update will also include a rank reset for rank play. This will move every ranked player down by four divisions that they will have to climb back out of. Developer NetEase says that future seasonal resets may move everyone down by six divisions at rank resets. The reset will at least reward players at Gold rank or above with various rewards based on their final rank prior to the reset taking place.
There is no word just yet on any additional changes coming in the mid-season refresh. NetEase may make some balance adjustments or add in other new content on the 21st. A full changelog has yet to be released.
