The new Datavault update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is now available. This update adds in a bunch of free content, some quality-of-life improvements, and some new content for those that own the Season Pass.
The new Datavault is a "Battle-Barge chamber where Tech-Priests collect and store intel on the many enemies of the Imperium." Players will complete Ordeals, accumulate Research Data, and trade that in for Requisition Points and new cosmetics.
Some of the new cosmetics include things like pauldron markings, a variety of weapon skins, and new armor pieces. Specifically, there are skins for the Thunder Hammer and Auto Bolt Rifle. Likewise, the new armor pieces include a new breastplate and gauntlet.
Also included with today's update is the new "Tomb" PvP map and the addition of the Tyranid Biovore Majoris enemy type in the Operations mode.
A sixth (and final) difficulty setting, Absolute, was also added today for those who just needed an even great challenge. There are also various quality-of-life improvements for both PC and consoles. These include the addition of an opt-in/out Crossplay feature in PvP matches. There is also an FOV slider on PC, tweaks to class perks, a currency exchange that allows players to trade Armory Data for rarer tiers or Requisition Points, and more.
This update is available for all platforms where Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available. That includes PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
