A massive block of ice in the world of Fortnite Battle Royale has finally defrosted and from within emerged Mariah Carey. The virtual Carey immediately started to sing All I Want for Christmas is You. You know the song. We all know the song. Your grandchildren's grandchildren will know the song.
Upon defrosting, Carey also ushered in the start of the Winterfest 2024 event for Fortnite. Winterfest is a two-week long event where you can get free in-game items every single day at the Winterfest Cabin, enjoy plenty of snow across the Battle Royale map, and use the Blizzard Grenade.
Some of the freebies you can find in the Winterfest Cabin include various outfits, pickaxes, gliders, and more. It seems like one of the bigger items to find is the Santa Dogg Outfit, which outfits the Snoop Dogg skin in a Santa hat, Santa jacket, and a reindeer gold necklace. The Cabin also allows you to passively earn small amounts of XP just for having it up and running.
Winterfest also brings some special items to the Shop. These include Mariah Carey and Shaq Outfits. There is a full Mariah Carey Bundle that includes a gold outfit, Santa suit outfit, LEGO versions of both, Angelic Wings back bling, Gilded Honey Wings back bling, Mariah's Mic, and the All I Want For Christmas Is You emote.
This holiday event for Fortnite comes at the same time as Epic Games Store is giving away a free game every day. Yesterday's freebie was Vampire Survivors, while today's free game is Astrea: Six Sided Oracles. Tomorrow's game will be? Well, your guess is as good as mine. There will be a new free game offered up every day until January 1st. January 2-9 will return to the weekly free games on the store.
